Huawei P9 unashamedly leaks, bares all angles
The Huawei P9 is about as ready as a Sunday pot roast it seems, at least if the latest images acquired by Venturebeat are to be believed.
Markedly absent at MWC 2016, the Huawei P9 was instead usurped by the company’s debut Windows 10 convertible notebook — the MateBook.
Not to be outdone aesthetically though, the Huawei P9 will sport dual rear cameras with 12MP sensors each, dual-tone flash as well, and a fingerprint reader, according to the images.
The latter feature will play nicely with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow (almost definitely running Huawei’s UI), and the self-built HiSilicon Kirin 955 chipset. Sources believe that there could be versions of the device at varying trim levels, with the cheapest device featuring a Kirin 950 and 3GB of RAM.
Earlier this week, Nowhereelse.fr spotted a frame of a phone that many thought to be the iPhone 7. However, the phone did exhibit all the likely traits of the Huawei P9. The frame largely matches the leaked images, in terms of port placements and general size of the P9 pictured.
