New details on Gears of War 4 pricing and Ultimate Edition
It’s almost time for Gears of War 4 to see the light of day. Well, it’s six months away, but in the meantime, Microsoft is teasing the world with some new info on the game.
With the horrendous state of the SA Rand, it’s nice to see the standard version of GoW4 will retail for R749. That’s quite the discount considering Microsoft’s last big release, Quantum Break, retailed for R1199. Looks like the company may have learned not overbank on titles.
Along with the standard edition, the company is releasing an ultimate edition, called Gears of War 4: Ultimate Edition, which will cost R1179. This version will include a full version of the game, along with a steelbook case, and season pass (valued at R749), which includes skins, maps, VIP goodies, and access to the game four days before everyone else. Not a bad price there at all.
Pre-ordering either edition will net you a “Vintage Del” skin for multiplayer.
For those of you that can’t wait to get your hands on the game, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is selling for R499 on Xbox.com.
Gears of War 4 is due for release on 7 October this year and should be available for pre-order from most retailers.
