HP OMEN gaming laptops, desktops to hit South Africa next month
Hardware specialist HP has revealed its new line of high-end gaming laptops and desktop products, dubbed OMEN. This range is geared towards those who want the best pre-built systems, and who have some cash to blow.
“We created OMEN by HP for gamers who need their PC to deliver a great experience while also allowing them the flexibility to choose the level of performance and design that fits their needs,” says VP and GM of consumer systems at HP, Kevin Frost.
All OMEN laptops will feature Dragon Red backlit keyboards, dual-fan cooling design, support for up to 16GB of RAM, and a 62-watt battery. Included in the units are a combination of Black & Olufsen and HP Audi Boost technology for audio delivered through two speakers.
Select models in the range will come equipped with an Intel Core-i7 CPU, Nvidia GTX 965M graphics chip, and options for dual storage.
Laptops will be available in 15.6-inch and 17.0-inch screen sizes with either 1080p or 4K IPS screens.
The desktop editions will each include a Core i7-6700K CPU, and either a Nvidia GTX 1080 or AMD Radeon R9 390X graphics cards. These units will support up to 32GB or RAM and the option for liquid cooling systems.
