Rise of the Tomb Raider coming to PlayStation 4 in October?
Rise of the Tomb Raider, the second installment of the new Tomb Raider series, is reportedly heading to PlayStation 4 in October.
The game, a timed exclusive for the Xbox One and Windows 10, has previously been earmarked for a November launch on the Japanese console. However, thanks to the Italian division of Gamestop (and NeoGAF) we might’ve been given a little bit of a sneak peak, and an earlier than expected launch.
The listing suggests that the expected date is 11/10/2016, which could be read in one of two ways, depending on where you happen to live. In Italy at least, the date format is day/month/year, suggesting 11 October 2016.

Although that date could simply be a place holder (considering that the price is a ridiculous 71 euro), especially considering that Square Enix hasn’t confirmed that the expected date as crept forward, it’s definitely getting us a bit excited. There’s also the possibility that someone at a particular game retailer is getting fired a little later today.
We reviewed Rise of the Tomb Raider earlier this year on Xbox One, and found it to be one of the console’s “killer apps”. Could it be one of the PlayStation 4’s too?
