Galaxy S8 to get online doctor appointment feature?
The Galaxy S8 rumour mill has been working overtime over the past month, purportedly revealing the hardware design. But what about software? Well, it seems like S-Health is getting a useful feature…
According to SamMobile, citing “information we’ve received”, WebMD and Amwell will be deeply integrated into the S-Health app, possibly coming to the S8 as well.
In addition to searching for symptoms, medication and diseases (via WebMD), the integration will also allow you to schedule video appointments with a doctor (via Amwell).
The updated app can apparently store appointment information (including photos and symptoms) as well as prescription details.
The updated S-Health app, expected to hit the Galaxy S8, will reportedly have doctor appointment functionality
Users can pay for their appointment via a credit card tied to the app and rate their doctor, SamMobile claims. It adds that 911 calls would also be possible via the app.
Expect the updated app to hit other recent Samsung flagships too, with the exception of the Galaxy Note 7 obviously.
Samsung is expected to reveal the Galaxy S8 at Mobile World Congress in February/March, but there’s no doubt that we’ll see more leaks before then.
