Huawei P10 Lite detailed, so what’s new?
Huawei’s P8 Lite and P9 Lite were two of the most successful mid-range smartphones sold in South Africa, offering some cool specs at a solid price. Now, European networks have revealed the P10 Lite, being the latest device from Huawei.
According to EE and Vodafone Netherlands, the P10 Lite packs a 2.1Ghz Kirin 655 chip, 32GB of expandable storage, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and 5.2-inch full HD screen. However, other reports claim that the device is actually packing a Kirin 658 chip (being a slight upgrade over the Kirin 655) and 4GB of RAM.
Otherwise, the phone seems to pack a 3000mAh battery (promising a full charge in 90 minutes), a 12MP 1.25 micron main camera (it sounds awfully similar to the Huawei Nova) and a front-facing 8MP camera.
The Huawei P10 Lite looks like a solid follow-up over the well-rounded P9 Lite, but we await word of local availability
As for software, the Huawei P10 Lite is set to pack EMUI 5, as well as the Knuckle Sense functionality seen on previous flagships.
It’s claimed that the P10 Lite will have a suggested price of €299.
We’ve contacted Huawei’s South African representatives for more information. But it stands to reason that the P10 Lite will be coming to South Africa sooner rather than later, after all, the P8 Lite sold over 250 000 units in South Africa.
