Huawei P8 Lite 2017, P10 Lite, more to hit SA
We already know that the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus are coming to South Africa on Friday. But the Chinese company also confirmed that two budget devices would be released at the same time.
The company’s Zhao Likun told press that the Huawei P8 Lite 2017 would be making its way to South Africa alongside the P10 and P10 Plus.

Prefer the P10 Lite to the new P8 Lite? Then you’re in luck, as the representative added that the P10 Lite would be coming to the country as well.
Zhao didn’t reveal a prepaid price for either handset, but said that the P8 Lite 2017 edition would cost R199 a month on contract, while the P10 Lite would have a monthly contract price of R299 a month.

As for specs, the P8 Lite 2017 packs a Kirin 655 chip, 16GB of expandable storage, 3GB of RAM and a 5.2-inch full HD screen. Other notable specs include a 12MP f/2.0 main camera, 8MP selfie shooter, 3000mAh battery and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The P10 Lite packs a Kirin 658 chip (being almost identical to the 655), 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and a 5.2-inch full HD screen. The phone also packs a 12MP f/2.2 main shooter, 8MP selfie camera, 3000mAh battery and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Looking for more gadget goodness? Well, Zhao also confirmed that the Huawei Watch 2 would be coming to South Africa next month. Pricing details weren’t revealed, but it’s understood that the cellular-enabled watch will be sold on contract.
