Google Pixel 2 ‘leaked’ in slim bezel glory
We’ve been hearing plenty of news related to the second-generation Google Pixel in recent months, mostly focused on its codenames and internal specs. Now, a website has published what it’s calling an “accurate representation” of the Google Pixel 2.
According to Android Police, the image is based on “information from sources we deem extremely reliable”. So what does the image show us?
For one, the large bezels/borders of the original Pixel have been drastically reduced, with the new phone apparently packing a higher screen/body ratio as a result. The phone also seems to pack a 6-inch 2:1 AMOLED screen made by LG, the publication claims.
The back looks similar to last year’s phone though, featuring glass at the top but a metal rear otherwise.
The Google Pixel 2 could be the latest smartphone to pack a tall screen and thin bezels
Android Police also believes the Pixel 2 will have a squeezable frame, akin to HTC’s U11. HTC’s implementation allows you to assign shortcuts to a squeeze of the phone, such as launching an app with one or two squeezes.
As for internal specs, previous leaks peg the phones as having a Snapdragon 835 chip and 4GB of RAM.
