Xiaomi Mi Mix 2: what do rumours, teasers suggest?
Last year’s Mi Mix was a revelation, popularising the thin bezel, high screen/body ratio trend that would be followed by Samsung, LG and countless budget manufacturers. But Xiaomi isn’t standing still, as it prepares for the Mi Mix 2 launch later this month.
For starters, CEO Lei Jun has taken to Weibo to post photos of the Mi Mix 2 retail packaging — it shows us just how close we are to the release date.
The company has also teased the overall design with a series of posters, showing off even thinner borders than that on the original Mi Mix and the Samsung Galaxy S8.
What about specs though? Little is known about the phone in this regard, but Qualcomm’s Weibo account says it’s running a Snapdragon 835 processor. We’re also expecting 4GB/6GB of RAM, a dual camera setup and a selfie camera on the Mi Mix 2 chin.
As for the release date? The date in the bottom right-hand corner of the teaser (as well as Qualcomm’s Weibo post) shows a 11 September unveiling.
