Doogee V: next phone with in-display scanner set for MWC 2018
CES 2018 saw a pleasant surprise in the form of Vivo’s X20 Plus UD smartphone, being the first production device with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Now, Doogee has announced that its own effort, the Doogee V, is going to launch at MWC 2018 on 27 February.
According to the firm’s website, the Doogee V will pack an “in-screen fingerprint sensor”, a 6.2-inch OLED screen with iPhone X notch, facial recognition, a 16MP+8MP dual camera setup and a 4000mAh battery.
The company adds that the phone will pack “AI” capabilities and wireless charging.
They don’t seem to be the only phones shown off on the firm’s website, as we also see the Doogee Mix 3 (complete with a camera swivel) and the Doogee Mix 4 (featuring a slideout bottom half for the earpiece and selfie camera). It’s unclear whether these phones are just concepts or the real deal, but Mix 3 images have surfaced courtesy of tipster Evan Blass.
