Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra now available in South Africa
The Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra, along with the compact XA2 and the budget L2 are now available in South Africa.
Initially announced at CES 2018 in Las Vegas earlier this year, the three Xperia devices have finally made their way to African shores.
The XA2 Ultra boasts a 6.0-inch 1920×1080 screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset, 32GB of storage and 4GB of RAM. There’s also a 23MP main camera at the rear, and two cameras up front: a 16MP and 8MP.
The XA2 features a smaller 5.2-inch screen with the same resolution, same chipset, 32GB of storage and 3GB of RAM. It boasts the same rear camera as on the Xperia XA2 Ultra, and an 8MP up front.
And finally, the Sony Xperia L2 is the cheapest of the lot, featuring a 5.5-inch 1280×720 screen, 32GB of internal storage with a Mediatek MT6737T chipset, and 3GB of RAM. It has a 13MP rear camera, and an 8MP snapper up front.
As for their prices, the Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra will retail for R7999, and be available in the following contracts:
- Telkom: Xperia XA2 Ultra, available from R339.00 per month for 24 months on a Free Me 1GB and receive a free “Made for Xperia” cover, three songs from music artist Onesimus, 100 minutes per month for 24 months and 10GB per month for three months.
- Cell C: Xperia XA2 Ultra, available from R529.00 per month for 24 months on a Pinnacle 100 and receive a free Smartband 2 valued at R1,499,00 and a “Made for Xperia” cover and the Xperia XA2, available from R349.00 per month for 24 months on a Pinnacle 150.
- MTN: Xperia XA2 Ultra, available from R399.00 per month for 24 months on a MTN Made for Me M and receive a “Made for Xperia” cover and the Xperia L2 available from R229.00 per month for 24 months on a MTN Made for Me S.
The Xperia XA2 will retail for R5599, and the Xperia L2 for R3499.
