GoPro Hero 7’s juicy details leak through an official press release

gopro hero 7 leak

The GoPro Hero 7 range was this week leaked in full detail by website B&H. The web page has since been killed, but that hasn’t stopped all the specs from making its way around the internet.

Spotted by The Verge, a press release published to Business Wire by B&H documented the new details of the GoPro Hero 7, including its availability in three colours, with three different specification levels.

The action camera comes in black, silver and white and they seem to cater for everyone from professionals to casual users.

The GoPro Hero 7 Black is at the top of the range with 4K recording capabilities, 12MP photos, face detection, RAW image support, voice control and livestreaming support. It’s also water resistant and doesn’t require a casing.

The Silver version can also shoot video in 4K but takes 10MP photos and does not have the same video stabilization as its Black counterpart. While it is water resistant and has voice control features, it does not seem to have a livestream function. It does however have a photo timer.

Last in is the hierarchy is the Hero 7 White. It films 1080p HD videos and shoots 10MP photos. Besides the lower quality video, this GoPro seems pretty much similar to the Silver. It is also water resistant without a special casing.

The Hero 7 Black and Silver are likely for those who require high quality content outdoors, but one outstanding difference between them is that you can only Black has removable batteries.

Although the leak is in the form of an official press release, GoPro itself hasn’t yet announced the products.
