Fortnite streamer arrested after seemingly slapping wife live on Twitch
A Fortnite streamer who goes by the name MrDeadMoth has reportedly been arrested after he appeared to hit his wife while broadcasting live on Twitch.
Warning: the below videos contains graphic content.
A clip, which has been captured from a livestreamed round of Fortnite, shows MrDeadMoth repeatedly pleading with his wife to “stop it”. Growing increasingly angry, he leaves his chair, and presumably walks over to his wife off camera. A slap can then be heard, as his wife begins sobbing and screaming.
A child can also be heard in another video, as the streamer gets up from his chair a second time.
The first clip hit Twitter and Reddit on Saturday, and has since gone viral across both social platforms.
A longer video was also posted to YouTube.
Prominent gaming industry figure Rod Breslau on Sunday tweeted that the “wife is okay and the streamer has been arrested” according to another Twitter account reportedly in contact with MrDeadMoth’s wife.
