Huawei South Africa to offer free smartphone services at the end of each month
Huawei South Africa will clean and service your Huawei smartphone for free between Thursday and Sunday at the end of each month, the company announced.
The service will allow users a free physical phone cleaning, free screen protectors, no labour charges for out-of-warranty devices, and free software support.
The service is available in Johannesburg’s Melrose Arch Huawei store, Cape Town’s Canal Walk and Somerset Mall, and Durban’s Mount Edgecombe Country Estate.
The move comes after Huawei’s recent fight against a US trade ban, forbidding the company from buying parts and services from US firms. This includes chipmakers like Qualcomm and software makers like Google.
According to a recent Gearburn poll, the company’s public perception has taken quite a hit, but this service programme will likely go some way into improving that.
