16-inch MacBook Pro, not Air, to feature scissor switch keyboard
This year’s upcoming 16-inch MacBook Pro will feature the scissor switch keyboard design, and not the previously reported MacBook Air.
According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo (via MacRumours), Apple is doing away with its butterfly keyboard design in the MacBook Pro first, and will replace the design on other devices in 2020.
Apple’s butterfly keyboard has come under scrutiny from users and media, as this brilliantly-titled and hilariously written WSJ piece suggests.
The 16-inch MacBook Pro is expected to launch this September.
