Canon’s new PIXMA range can print nail art stickers, Instagram photos
Canon on Tuesday announced four new PIXMA printers coming to South Africa in September to suit the needs of trendy teens, scrap bookers and small offices.
The most affordable is the TS3340 which Canon believes suits “students and families looking to quickly print crisp documents and vivid borderless photographs”.
Photo sizes supported stretch up to seven inches in length, five inches wide. It also supports magnetic and stickable media and can communicate with smartphones using Canon’s PRINT app.
The PIXMA TS5340 is “a rapid crafting machine, empowering teenagers, students and art enthusiasts to personalise stickers, magnets and photographs, and unleash their creativity at the tap of a finger”.
It brings two-sided printing support, and can print square social media images directly from the PRINT app.
The TS6340 boasts a two-way paper feed, that also features a wireless connect function. It has a five-ink tank, and can be used to print “work documents and family photographs or for a variety of craft projects including iron-on transfers, re-stickable, square and magnetic pictures”.
And finally, the top-of-the-range PIXMA TS8340 has a six-ink tank, and delivers “lab quality” photo prints. It also boasts a SD card slot for direct device printing, and can print stickers for nail art too.
Canon notes that all four printers, which use the company’s FINE ink technology and ChromaLife 100 ink, will be available from September. Pricing is to be announced.
