Canon’s working on a nifty smart pan-tilt system for cameras
Canon on Thursday announced the development of a new remote control system that will allow users to control interchangeable-lens cameras from their PCs.
Through Canon’s Camera Remote App, photographers will be able to connect to multiple cameras with the Remote-Control Pan-Tilt System to shoot remotely.
“Taking user needs into consideration, the technology has been developed to enable the remote operation of cameras for still photo capture in journalistic fields such as sports coverage,” Canon said in a press release.
The company, which last month announced the Canon EOS 90D and EOS M6 Mark II, has not yet revealed when the Remote-Control Pan-Tilt System will launch or how much the device will cost.
