‘Call of Duty: Mobile’ shoots past 35m downloads in five days
Since its release last week, Call of Duty: Mobile has become the fastest first-person shooter to reach 35-million downloads across the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
Surpassing the milestone within five days, the game topped the overall chart on the App Store as well.
“The response from fans across both Android and iOS has been amazing,” Activision president Rob Kostich said in an update.
The company first announced Call of Duty: Mobile in September, promising that the mobile version of the popular game would feature “the full Call of Duty Multiplayer experience”.
With so many downloads and over two-million positive reviews on Google Play, the free-to-play game is clearly delivering.
“This is an incredibly fun experience, and we’re only getting started,” Kostich teased.
The game is currently available worldwide.
Meanwhile, for console and PC gamers, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is set to drop on 25 October 2019.
