Sony’s RX100 VII compact camera launches in South Africa

Sony on Thursday launched the RX100 VII in South Africa, the company’s latest addition to its RX compact camera range.
“Utilising technologies developed for Sony’s full-frame mirrorless camera Alpha 9, the RX100 VII achieves new levels of performance in a compact camera in both stills and movie shooting,” the company said in a press release.
In fact, the 20.1MP camera boasts a 1.0-type stacked Exmor RS CMOS sensor, BIONZ X processor, 24-200mm F2.8-4.5 zoom lens and 4K video recording capabilities.
“The RX100 VII also debuts Single Burst Shooting, a new drive mode for capturing the perfect high-speed shot at up to 90fps in JPEG/RAW format utilising the anti-distortion shutter,” Sony further revealed.
Additionally, the device also features a vlog-friendly mic input and flip screen as well.
The RX100 VII is available in South Africa for R 24 695 with a Shooting Grip Kit included.
