Lenovo Smart Clock will now wake you with Google’s ‘Impromptu’ alarms

Google on Tuesday revealed a new software update rolling out for Google Assistant on the Lenovo Smart Clock featuring “Impromptu”.
According to the company, “Impromptu” is a new alarm clock feature that “gives you a ringtone that fits your situation, based on things like the time of day or weather”.
This means, with the feature enabled, users can have different alarm clock sounds throughout their day based on machine learning.
Additionally, the new update also brings improvements to the Smart Clock too.
“We’ve fine-tuned the automatic brightness, added a music recommendation card to help you get to your playlists faster, and provided more granular control over how long your alarm lasts,” Google explained.
The updates are rolling out globally for Lenovo Smart Clock users. The device, which first launched in June, is currently available in the United States, Australia and parts of Europe.
