Huawei on Friday finally spilled the beans on the P40 series’ pricing, giving us an official date or release too.
The P40 Pro will retail for R20 999. The P40 will start at R16 999.

Notably, both figures are a lot lower than what the company suggested back in March during the devices’ global launch, and puts them on par with the pricing for the Samsung Galaxy S20 and S20 Plus, respectively.
Huawei did not confirm that the P40 Pro Plus would be offered in South Africa.
Both devices will be available to purchase from 1 June.
