Legion Slim 7i: Lenovo launches world’s lightest 15-inch gaming laptop with RTX graphics
As part of its holiday 2020 lineup, Lenovo announced its new Legion Slim 7i — which the company says is the world’s lightest 15-inch GeForce RTX gaming laptop.
The laptop is aimed at gamers who want style and portability. The Legion Slim 7i takes lightweight gaming devices to a new level — with the laptop’s weight starting at only 1.8kg.
The laptop comes in various configurations, but here is a summary of a few of its hardware options:
- Display: 15.6-inch UHD/FHD display
- CPU: 1oth Gen Intel Core i5/i7/i9 processor
- Graphics: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 (Max-Q)/Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti (Max-Q)/Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti
- RAM: 8GB/16GB/32GB DDR4
- Storage: 512GB/1TB/2TB NVMe SSD
The gaming laptop also has a fingerprint reader on the power button, a number of I/O ports (including two Thunderbolt 3.40 ports), and a Dolby Atmos speaker system.
In terms of refresh rates, you’re looking at 60Hz for the 4K display version of the laptop. The FHD versions of the laptop have either a 60Hz or 144Hz option.
We are still waiting on price and availability for South Africa. But internationally, the Legion Slim 7i will start at €1299.
The laptop is expected to launch globally starting from October 2020.
The Legion Slim 7i is the latest of Lenovo’s gaming device offerings.
Earlier this year, the company also announced its Legion Phone Duel — a 5G gaming smartphone for streamers.
