iPhone 12 in South Africa: Cellucity tweet hints a local launch date
As locals wait for news on the launch of the new iPhone 12 series, a Cellucity tweet has hinted at the launch date for Apple’s latest smartphones in South Africa.
On 26 November, Cellucity tweeted the date of 18 December with a series of apple emojis.
No other details were shared by the company, with the tweet acting as a coy teaser for those eagerly awaiting news on the local release.
Apple announced the iPhone 12 series at a global launch event in October.
The series includes four phones: the iPhone 12 mini, the iPhone 12, the iPhone 12 Pro, and the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
The smartphones launched globally in October and November. However, no official details have emerged yet for South Africa’s launch date.
Cellucity’s tweet gives Apple fans in South Africa a clearer timeframe for the arrival of the iPhone 12 locally.
But you’ll have to wait a bit longer for pricing. We will also need to see whether the entire range will launch locally or only certain iPhone 12 versions.
Signs point to the initial release including all four phones.
