Here’s what the new M1 MacBooks will cost in South Africa

If you’re on the market for the new MacBook laptops and Mac mini (featuring the M1 chip) from Apple, pre-order listings have revealed the prices for the devices in South Africa.

The new M1-equipped Macbook Pro, Macbook Air, and Mac mini are currently available for pre-order from iStore — the local distributor for Apple products.

So what will the new laptops and mini computer cost?

The new 13-inch Macbook Air costs between R19 999 and R24 999, depending on the version that you get.

Meanwhile, for the new MacBook Pro, you’re looking at prices between R25 999 and R29 999.

Meanwhile, the new Mac mini will cost between R13 999 and R17 999.

However, the delivery and official launch date for the devices are unclear.

Apple recently announced the new devices in their November launch event. You can see details about the new Macbooks in our article on the launch.

While this reveals the local pricing for the new computers from Apple, South Africans are still waiting on details regarding the iPhone 12’s local launch.

The new iPhone 12 smartphone range was announced in October, with a global launch in November.

However, there’s no news yet on local availability of the new smartphones.
