The most useful features of the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro [Sponsored]
2020 is a year that has changed the way we work and interact with each other, and technology has played a big role in assisting the new normal.
Fumbling around in your pocket for your phone can be a pain, especially when you need to keep your hands sanitised.
That’s why the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro smartwatch is the perfect assistant for everyday life – there’s no real need for multiple devices besides a watch and phone.
Huawei has packed so many excellent features into the Watch GT 2 Pro – here are our favourites…
1. Monitoring stress and sleep levels
Huawei has equipped the GT 2 Pro with TruRelax, a snazzy piece of technology that monitors your stress levels 24-hours a day.
If you’re on a crazy work deadline (we know what that’s like), or watching another political address (again, we get it), the watch will tell you when your stress levels are too high.
While the watch may not be able to solve our stress-related issues, it can keep an eye on the things that affect it so you don’t need to. That’s why it includes an all-day heart-rate monitor.
The smartwatch will constantly check your heart-rate and report back any abnormalities.
2. Hands-free calls on the go
The Watch GT 2 Pro has a built-in microphone. When paired with your smartphone, you’ll be able to make and receive calls right from your wrist.
It’s an excellent feature that allows you to quickly answer a business call or check what your other half wants from the drive-through. (Hint: it’s always chips)
And with a simple, “Hey Celia,” you’ll have access to Huawei’s own digital assistant, which is able to check your body’s stats, why Cape Town’s weather can’t make up its mind, and more.
3. Weather and GPS tracking
Speaking of the weather, the GT 2 Pro’s barometer monitors air pressure changes in real-time. It’s a pretty nifty add-on that can warn you about a sudden change of weather that you’re not prepared for.
And the built-in GPS will record your movements of where you’ve been. And if you find yourself in an unfamiliar area, the Route Back system will help you retrace your steps to the right path.
4. More than 100 pre-loaded Workout Modes
Huawei has pre-programmed over 100 workout modes into the GT 2 Pro’s software, along with 10 running courses that feature voice guidance. The system will actually give you feedback with better training suggestions.
It’ll also automatically detect your normal workout and will start tracking your stats – no need to configure it each time you want to go for a jog.
5. One last feature
The final, bonus point: Huawei has a built-in and extremely useful VO2 meter, called VO2Max4.
It monitors the maximum rate of oxygen your body consumes over a period of time.
It’s a very useful feature for those with blood-oxygen issues or training-intensive workouts.
