Apple AirPods Max launched in South Africa – here’s their price

Apple’s latest audio product, the AirPods Max, have officially launched in South Africa and are now available from the iStore.

According to Apple, these new wireless headphones will bring the magic of the AirPods experience to a high-fidelity, over-ear design.

“The custom acoustic design, combined with powerful H1 chips, and advanced software enable AirPods Max to use computational audio to wirelessly deliver the ultimate personal listening experience,” said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, at the launch of the device.

In addition to this, Apple says its new “breakthrough listening experience” provides a custom acoustic design, powered by advanced software. They include adaptive EQ, transparency mode, active noise cancellation, and spatial audio.

According to Apple, the AirPods Max blends ultimate comfort with exceptional acoustic performance.

“The breathable knit mesh canopy, spanning the headband, is made to distribute weight and reduce on-head pressure. The stainless steel headband frame provides strength, flexibility, and comfort for a wide variety of head shapes and sizes,” Apple says in its press release.

Meanwhile, the AirPods Max also come in a variety of colours, including space grey, sky blue, green, and pink. They boast up to 20 hours of high-fidelity audio, talk time, or movie playback with both its active noise cancellation and spatial audio enabled, says Apple.
