Huawei ICT Academy Summit inspires a necessary digital pipeline

The Huawei ICT Academy Annual Instructor Summit has emerged as a cornerstone in the global landscape of digital education.

Huawei hosted their ICT Academy Annual Instructor Summit on Friday to sign into effect the TVET Colleges curriculum transformation program, an agreement between Huawei, the Department of Higher Education and Training as well as the Shenzhen Institute of information technology.

It was Huawei CEO Will Meng who opened the ceremony to remind attendees how higher education and ICT interplay were important in ensuring a lifelong education ecosystem.

Meng provided brief insight into the partnerships and achievements in the country within the post-school education and training sector.

The aim was to maintain relationships with stakeholders in and around ICT sectors while equipping the next generation of tech-savvy individuals.

This was seconded by the Deputy Minister in Higher Education and Training Buti Manamela alongside Deputy Director General responsible for the Technical Vocational Education and Training Sam Zungu who highlighted how TVET colleges and ICT sector partnerships were necessary for the next generation of technological excellence.
