Grand Theft Auto IV comes to Xbox backwards-compatibility
Grand Theft Auto V has already made its way to Xbox One, albeit in remastered form, but what about Grand Theft Auto IV? Fortunately, Rockstar Games has confirmed that the Xbox 360 version is now backwards compatible.
The publisher made the announcement on its website, revealing that all versions of the game, as well as Episodes from Liberty City, are compatible on Xbox One.
Gamers who own the digital version will see it show up in the “Ready to Install” section on Xbox One, while those with a physical copy will need to insert it and then download the compatible version.

“Your original game saves will also transfer if you have saved your game to the Cloud Saved Games feature on Xbox 360,” Rockstar added.
GTA IV was released back in 2008, with The Lost and The Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony expansions following in 2009.
It’s not the first major Rockstar 360 title to be backwards compatible on Xbox One, with Bully: Scholarship Edition and Red Dead Redemption also being made compatible in recent months.
