PlayStation Store will now refund gamers if they wish to cancel purchases
A new cancellation policy on Sony’s PlayStation Store will give customers the right to refunds if they wish to return certain purchases.
The refunds however, depend on whether or not users have started to download or use the products they buy.
In terms of pre-orders, Sony revealed that it will give a full refund to customers if the game has not been released yet, or within 14 days from the purchase, provided that they have not downloaded the content.
“If you have not started to download the main product and your order included immediately-accessible extra content, this extra content will stop working if you cancel your pre-order,” the company explained.
Other purchases like games, add-ons, game passes and promotional bundles will also be refundable within a 14 day window period, as long as you have not downloaded these items.
The refunds will be made to your PSN wallet.
Sony further noted that it would only be able to make direct refunds in certain circumstances.
The company suggested that players turn off automatic downloads to avoid being being denied a refund.
