Sony has sold 100m PS4 consoles since launch
Sony has now sold 100-million PS4 consoles, the company confirmed in its first quarter earnings for 2019.
According to the report, 3.2-million PS4 consoles were bought in the first quarter, bringing the total number sold in a five-year and seven-month period up to 100-million.
The company took three years to reach the milestone since hitting the halfway million mark in 2016.
More worrying is Sony’s smartphone sales in Q1 2019. It sold just 900 000 Sony Xperias during this period — its lowest quarterly figure in more than a year.
