Sony is launching a new wireless shooting grip for its latest cameras
Sony on Tuesday revealed a new wireless shooting grip aimed at helping photographers connect to their cameras more efficiently.
Called the GP-VPT2BT, the grip allows photographers sporting compatible Sony cameras to control their devices via Bluetooth.
With the shooting grip attached photographers can film or shoot stills without the need to physically plug into their cameras.
According to Sony, this ensures that photographers can “aim and shoot without interfering cables or exposed inputs”.
The company further noted that the device will include tilt and adjustment features too and be compatible with most of its newer cameras, including the Alpha α9 II, RX100 VII and RX0 II.
Sony will launch the GP-VPT2BT in the United States later this month for $140 and Canada for $180.
Meanwhile, Canon last week also launched a new Robotic Camera System to help photographers shoot remotely via their PCs.
