Nokia wants you to tune in to its smartphone launch on 19 March
HMD Global’s Nokia is set to launch “something very special” on 19 March, its chief product officer Juho Sarvikas announced on Twitter.
The announcement took the form of a cryptic promo video in which an allusion to James Bond’s gun barrel opening sequence.
While that could point to some co-announcement with the movie franchise, it could also be an allusion to the number of camera sensors on the upcoming flagship.

The Nokia 9 Pureview had five. In this teaser, only four dots are depicted. This could suggest Nokia is ditching its highly-technical multi-camera system for the upcoming device, reverting to a more traditional primary-wide-telephoto-depth arrangement we’ve seen.
There’s plenty still up in the air, though.
The company has however already announced a number of new phones for 2020, including the local arrival of the cheap C1 and the budget Nokia 2.3.
