Four tasteful points about Huawei’s incoming Pura series
There’s an incoming interesting upgrade to the Huawei P60 series headed to South African shores very soon. It comes in the form of Huawei’s rebranded Pura series which promises not only great camera quality but a pop-out lens and some massive battery power.
We got to a look at the Huawei Pura series earlier this year in Dubai as the consumer group introduced the series to the Middle Eastern and African markets.
South Africa is likely to get a sample of the Pura series in this quarter and hopefully, a launch to announce this compelling device’s interesting features.
So what’s tasteful about the Pura series?
Competitive camera tech
The Huawei Pura series features an ultra-lighting pop-out camera system, acclaimed as the world’s best smartphone camera by DXOMark.
This camera, with a 1-inch sensor and F1.6 aperture, captures stunningly bright and clear images even in low light conditions.
It’s particularly notable for its ability to handle fast-moving subjects, thanks to the ultra-speed snapshot technology, freezing motion up to 300km/h.
New design
The Huawei Pura series design steps away from the P60 series design and brings in new colour pallets while keeping a durable Kunlun Glass.
The Pura 70 Ultra is inspired by the shimmering lights of the River Seine at night, featuring a vegan leather back with an embossed starry pattern and a subtle plaid texture.
The Pura 70 Ultra model, along with the Pura 70 and Pura 70 Pro, boasts Kunlun Glass, which is highly durable and resistant to scratches and drops.
Battery power
The Pura 70 Ultra comes with a 5200mAh battery that supports 100W wired and 80W wireless SuperCharge. This means the phone can reach 50% charge in just 15 minutes.
Interesting user experience
The Pura series introduces the EMUI 14.2 interface, which includes AI gesture control and AI privacy view. These features enhance user interaction and security by enabling gesture-based controls and ensuring message privacy when multiple people are detected near the device.
By reinventing the P-series as the Pura, Huawei has not only introduced a new name but has also significantly enhanced the design, functionality, and overall user experience, making it a compelling choice in the premium smartphone market.
