Samsung can’t confirm which mobile networks will receive the update first, and says:
The availability and scheduling of the software update and specific models upgradable to Android 4.0 will vary by market and wireless carriers’ requirements.
“Following soon” are updates for the Galaxy S II Lite, Tab 8.9 and Tab 10.1 but we won’t estimate gestation dates.
Samsung also plans to roll out Gingerbread for older devices, just to keep everyone at the party happy. Phones such as the Galaxy Tab 7.0, Galaxy S and Galaxy W will feel the warm loving glow of Android 2.3, possible later this year.
