Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 devices pushed back, Android 4.0 blamed
Whoa there doggie. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 series, which was penciled in for March UK release, has been pushed back to the end of April.
Why? Apparently Samsung needs to spend further time refining the TouchWiz UI for Android 4.0.
When Android 4.0 plays nice with TouchWiz, the tablets will launch in the UK. The rest of the world will follow suit after the Brits have had their fill with these snazzy new devices. Tab’s expected to launch include the Galaxy Tab 2 7 and 10.1.
Hopefully this delay will be worth the wait as Samsung is famous for holding back both hardware and software until its satisfied with the end result. Take Ice Cream Sandwich for instance. It’s still delayed on Samsung’s most popular smartphone, namely the Galaxy S II. Play nice now Samsung.
