Blackberry 9730 unceremoniously leaked by RIM

Someone dropped the ball at RIM recently by leaking the 9730. Details are extremely scant, so speculation is the only source we have.
It was leaked onto Blackberry’s App World Vendor Portal, according to N4BB. It was further speculated that the 9730 could be a CDMA version of the 9790.
That, or a second touch screen smartphone to add to the popular Bold collection. RIM apparently stated that it was an error on its part that the phone was on the site. An error that it was leaked or that a phone that isn’t being produced was put on the site?
I doubt that RIM would have mistakenly put a phone that they aren’t going to produce on its vendor portal. Why tease people if you’re not going to produce?
