Meet Honda’s robotic lawnmower
Forget cars, lawnmowers are the next big thing. Honda knows this, and has a range of lawnmowers for your every need. It has just released the Miimo, not to be confused with the ASIMO, the human look-alike.
It cuts 2-3mm of grass at a designated time in the week and does so in a random pattern so the grass isn’t stressed out. Grass doesn’t like routine much, apparently. In order for it to know where to mow, a wire boundary needs to be set up, and uses three bump sensors to navigate. It even has the decency to go back to its charging station when it’s running low on juice.
There are two models available: the 300 and the 500. The 500 is capable to mowing a lawn of up to half a football field in size. This should take care of most people’s needs.
If you’re really looking for a laugh, maybe get the ASIMO to control the Miimo and have a super robotic backyard.
