Samsung Galaxy Beam touches down in South Africa for R5499
The Galaxy Beam, Samsung’s one-trick-pony projector smartphone is now available in South Africa for the wallet-bursting price of R5499. We’ve given the Beam the once over earlier this year, but now it’s time to buy this bastard and see if it can handle the specific needs (read: mobile porno projecting) our delicate constitutions demand.
The Beam is a fairly standard, okay very average Android 4.0 smartphone with 1Ghz CPU, 5MP camera and the pretty weedy 15-lumen projector. It’s not going to be the replacement for that R10 000 projector in the boardroom but with a pitch-black room, this Beam can hold its own.
For those interested in picking up the Galaxy Beam, brick-and-mortar Vodacom stores should be stocking it from today.
