Siri and Maps rumored for OS X 10.9, we’re excited about one at least
Early indications hint at Apple’s Siri and Maps applications being integrated into the latest version of OS X, 10.9 for Mac devices. The applications have appeared in the initial testing stages according to 9 to 5 Mac.
The apps seem like a natural addition to the desktop and laptop Mac’s following the heavily touted integration of iOS 6. Siri currently inhabits many newer iPhone models, iPads and iPod touches and has garnered its fair share of praise and criticism.
The Maps app however, has suffered mass criticism straight out the gate, with users highlighting its poor interface and incomplete mapping system. Many cited the rushed release of the app to coincide with iOS 6 and the new iPhone 5 as the reason for such a flawed mapping service.
We can only hope that if these two applications make it into the final stages of testing, Apple would have ironed out the kinks that currently leaves many users frustrated.
