OPPO’s Ulike 2: a dermatologist in your phone
A smartphone called the Ulike 2 from Chinese manufacturer OPPO has surfaced on micro blogging site Sina Weibo. As far as specs, go the Ulike 2 comes in around the middle of the pack. What does set it apart is its 5 MP front facing camera.
According to Digi Tech, OPPO intend this device to be for the lady tech-geek and it comes enhanced with “auto beauty features”. These features include dermabrasion, face lift, face slimming and whitening (not to sure if that’s politically correct) all designed to allow users to edit images almost as well as Photoshop.
Now for the more tangible specs: the Ulike 2 is equipped with a 4.5-ich LCD screen with 2.2 millimetre bezel. It is also fitted with a 8MP rear camera for when you’re not taking self portraits. The Ulike 2 is powered by a dual-core processor, 1 GB of RAM and runs Android 4.0. As far as storage goes, the smartphone has 16GB internal memory, plus an expandable microSD slot.
If the rendered image is anything to go by, the Ulike 2 is certainly a head turner, and packing enough specs to keep most users satisfied. OPPO is definitely aware that this smartphone is designed for those obsessed with looks.
