Lumia 920T now finally available for sale in China
After some rumours and speculation earlier in the year, Nokia announced that the new Lumia 920T will be available in China before the end of the year.
Spec wise, users can expect the same as its predecessor, with a 4.5-inch 1280×768-pixel PureMotion HD+ display, optical image-stabilising 8.7-megapixel Carl Zeiss autofocus camera, 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor and 1GB RAM. Where it will differ however is network support for TD-SCDMA, China Mobile’s unique 3G standard, as well as TD-LTE, the protocol that the country is using for its 4G network.
This could put the former leader in mobile phones back on the map, as its partner, Microsoft, has been pushing ahead with its marketing and promotion of the Surface tablet and Windows Phone platform. The Lumia 920 has done well on Amazon and if that is anything to go by, the 920T could do equally well in China. Especially after pre-orders of the new smartphone has sold out, according to various sources.
