Sony reveals massive ‘May Madness’ PlayStation games sale
Sony just revealed over a hundred selected PlayStation games on special. The ginormous sale, which ceases to exist at the end of this month, is called May Madness.
Curiously, the announcement comes at a time when people suggested PS3 games might soon be available on PS4. Some Reddit users recently claimed to have seen PS3 games appear in the next-gen console’s store.
Sony announced PlayStation Now last year which is a service that will eventually give you access to PS3 games which could be streamed and played directly on any PlayStation Now-ready device.
Initially, both the PS3 and PS4 will be able to play games by streaming them using your PSN account. Sony also said that it will expand the service so that you’ll play PS3 games using anything from smart TVs and handheld consoles. All you’ll need is a decent broadband connection, DualShock 3 controller and a PSN account.
PlayStation Now will launch in North America sometime during summer which officially starts in a few weeks. Until then, the PS4 games available on sale this month are EA SPORTS NBA LIVE 14, Madden NFL 25 and Stealth Inc Ultimate Edition.
Most of the PS3 games’ prices got cut in three with some noteworthy ones being:
- Battlefield: Bad Company 2
- Brothers: a Tale of Two Sons
- Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD
- Crysis 2
- Darksiders
- Dead Island
- Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z
- LiMBO
- Mass Effect 3
- Mirror’s Edge
- Need for Speed Most Wanted
- The Cave
- The Walking Dead S1 – Season Pass
- The Walking Dead: Season 2 – Ep.1 All That Remains
- The Bureau: XCOM Declassified
