Tekken 7 officially announced with uber-crazy trailer
Tekken 7 is official and it was announced at Evo 2014 that it’s coming to “new-gen” consoles, reports IGN.
Powered by the Unreal Engine 4, Tekken 7 will “rapidly achieve the visual quality expected on next-gen platforms and go beyond it. Not only is Unreal Engine 4 powerful and easy to use, but it allows us to easily bring Tekken 7 to any platform we desire.” This is all according to Katsuhiro Harada, Tekken’s chief producer, who has recently tweeted a little more information regarding his upcoming game.
Tekken 7 is of course, expected to release for the Xbox One and PS4, but could the “any platform we desire” quote also mean that an incoming PC version?

His tweet links to the English and (far cooler ’cause it sounds authentically “Tekken“) Japanese trailers.
Outside of the trailers, no release date or specific platforms have been mentioned. We can expect a little more information 25 July at Comic-Con.
The pyrotechnically-approved Tekken series began in the early Nineties and has spawned over twelve sequels and spin-offs. Is this “the final battle”, as the trailer says? We doubt it.
