Microsoft reintroduces ‘Solitaire’ to latest Windows 10 build
Procrastinators, listen up.
If you were gravely saddened by Microsoft‘s hasty removal of the much loved Solitaire suite from Windows 8, the company has (finally) felt your pain.
A new tweet, initially spotted by The Verge, has revealed that Redmond will be returning Solitaire to its rightful, pre-installed place in the Windows 10 ecosystem.
Although the game was previously available for those scouring the Windows Store, not everyone using Windows understood how to access these apps.
Spotted by Irish gaming developer on Twitter, Steven Troughton-Smith (who has been giving the internet a run down of new features on the latest Windows 10 build), the tweet is a warm reminder that Microsoft does actually listen to its users.
This should make nostalgic Windowers very happy indeed.

The company has been reintroducing features it stripped from Windows 8 for a while now, beginning with the Start Button and Start Menu. Microsoft is clearly devoted to listening to its users’ qualms and opinions about its new OS, and reinstating what users loved most about its OSes of the past is definitely a ploy to win over lost users.
It seems that Solitaire is only available on the current build of Windows 10, 10061, but it should come with Windows 10 once the OS is officially released around June 2015. While you wait, have a look at Troughton-Smith’s Twitter timeline to see what else is new in Windows 10.
Perhaps the most important question remains though: Where is Minesweeper, Microsoft?
