Armed with a mutant healing factor and equal propensity for injury and illness, Ray's foray into superherodom was enthusiastic, but brief. His injuries quickly surpassed his ability to recover from them, and so he decided to pursue the safer and far more viable route of writing about superheroes instead. This new direction actually ended up in Ray getting a Master's Degree in Digital Arts, with specialisation in comic adaptation theory and he's been published in two journals subsequently. Over and above being a total comic geek, Ray also writes and draws his own comic, lectures in Multimedia Design and breaks bones whilst playing squash.
