Ultima Evolution Coupe is bonkers, totally desirable
Fancy the kind of face-melting power that would put a Bugatti Veyron to shame, but for a fraction of the cost? Then we suggest you take some time to familiarise yourself with the Ultima Evolution Coupe.
Made by boutique British manufacturer Ultima, the Evolution comes in 15 flavours, starting with the 350bhp entry-level option. The one you really want to pay attention to though is the 1020bhp model at the top of the range.
For those paying close attention, that’s a few more horsepower than the original Veyron. But the Ecolution also weighs about half as much as the Veyron.
That means it can go from zero to 100km/h an around 2.5 seconds and from zero to 160km/h and back to zero in 8.8 seconds. That’s around a second faster than the Veyron despite the fact that the Ultima has a manual gearbox.
That same gearbox does however mean that it won’t be breaking any top speed records. The Evolution reportedly tops out at around 386km/h which is plenty fast enough when you’re driving something built by a very small group of Englishmen.
Oh and if you want to feel terrified while the wind blows through your hair, there’s a convertible version too.
