Merc’s yacht concept looks better than any car you’ve ever seen

If you’re a car maker and you want to remind people that you’re all about luxury, it’s hard to beat building your own yacht. Bugatti did it in 2015, and now Mercedes Benz has come to the party.

Launched in Nice earlier this week, the “Arrow460–Granturismo” is a 706 kW (960 hp) piece of ocean-going beauty.

Nick-named “Silver Arrow of the Seas”, Merc says the yacht combines the performance of Mercedes-Benz sports cars with unique innovations from the boat industry.

The yacht can accommodate up to 10 persons and includes large side windows that are retractable, and the windscreen can be raised. This, the German automaker says, means that passengers can sit comfortably in the interior while enjoying an all-round view and the feeling of sitting in the open.

Tables and beds are extendable, meaning they can be brought out when required. The interior, which is coated in eucalyptus wood also includes an on-board wine cellar, bathroom and dressing room.

With a top speed of 40 knots, you won’t lagging behind the other yachts either.

No word on how much the Arrow460–Granturismo cost to build, and we’re actually okay with that because it means the dream of owning one someday doesn’t immediately fly out the window.
