Lamborghini Aventador S hits SA, and I obviously can afford it
The Lamborghini Aventador S has arrived in South Africa, delivering some pretty mean performance for those that can afford it.
The supercar packs a 740hp naturally aspirated V12 engine, being capable of 0-100km/h in 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 350km/h.
Otherwise, the car also packs customisable driving modes, a four-wheel drive and steering system, and reworked aerodynamics for an increase in downforce.
The big question is the price though, and the Aventador S has a R7.4-million (R7 488 000, to be exact) price tag.
As for local availability? The car is available in Johannesburg, with “Cape Town planned for the end of June”.
A representative for Lamborghini’s South African distributor told Motorburn that “there are four set to be sold in SA this year between Johannesburg and Cape Town”.
The representative added that more could be ordered but that they’ll only be delivered next year.
