Xbox Games with Gold for June includes XCOM, Goat Simulator & more
Microsoft has announced its selection of Games With Gold titles for next month – and it’s not Bioshock Infinite or Red Dead Redemption like those rumours claimed.
Xbox One fans can look forward to bonkers physics-heavy game Goat Simulator (all month) and racing title The Crew (16 June until 15 July).
Xbox 360 gamers are set to receive hard-as-nails platformer Super Meat Boy (from 1-15 June), as well as XCOM: Enemy Unknown (from 16-30 June).
Of course, the Xbox 360 titles are backwards-compatible with the Xbox One, so owners of Microsoft’s current-generation console should have no shortage of games to play. Unless you played all titles before, then, well… we can’t help you there…
The news comes just a week after Microsoft announced an Xbox Live Gold price hike from R50 a month to a staggering R159 a month – set to take effect from 20 June.
Aside from the games, Gold subscribers also get access to online play and exclusive discounts.
Sony’s PlayStation Plus service (delivering several games, discounts and online play too) is available for R99 a month, while Nintendo doesn’t have a paid subscription service and offers online play at no extra charge.
