Jimmy Kimmel’s Christmas prank [YouTube challenge]

Jimmy Kimmel has yet again managed to convince American parents to prank their kids, this time with bad Christmas presents.

Just a few months ago he asked parents to hide their kids’ Halloween candy and upload a video of their reaction to YouTube. This time parents were asked to allow their children to open one “bad” present two weeks before Christmas. The parents then had to, as before, upload a video of their children’s reaction to YouTube with the title “Hey Jimmy Kimmel, I gave my kids a terrible present”.

As you can probably imagine, parents took to the task with fervor. The gifts ranged from, half-eaten foods, bananas, sandwiches and hot dogs, one kid even got a potato. Obviously the kids gave a performance worthy of Kimmel’s show and parents got due reactions with naming-calling such as “stupid parents” and “stinking parents”. One boy even said to his parents “I hate you”, while wailing.

Last time when Kimmel’s halloween prank went viral there was an outcry calling it “cruel”. I don’t know about you, but if my parents gave me a half-eaten sandwich for Christmas I might call them cruel too. I mean, seriously, it’s Christmas, kids live for this stuff, some adults too.

Cruel or not cruel, the video is funny. After discovering this was a prank commissioned by Kimmel, a little boy said, “you can tell him to suck my balls.” Ah, kids these days.
